New SilverSmack Shop on Artfire

I just opened up a new "Pro" shop on Artfire for my SilverSmack shop which means I can put more items in my shop and I get a few more bells and whistles.

Sapphire, September's Birthstone

Sapphire is September’s birthstone and is the stone for the Taurus. If a Taurus wears a sapphire, it is said to protect one from and cure one's mental disorders.
Throughout history, the sapphire symbolizes truth, sincerity, and faithfulness in relationships, and to bring peace, joy and wisdom to the wearer and owner. Sapphire was also believed to protect against evil.
Blue is by far the most popular color for sapphires, but they can be almost any color, including yellow, green, white, colorless, pink, orange, brown, and purple. Padparadscha is the name for a rare orange-pink variety of sapphire and has a higher value than blue sapphires.
Abbes Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) wrote that the gemstones are formed through the powerful combination of water and fire, therefore holds powers corresponding to these phenomena. She also believed that each stone had a certain, divine blessing from God. She also suggested that licking the stone could make a person smarter.

Is It Really Flip-Flop Weather?

Sure, everyone wants spring to come, but lets take a little time to look at the facts. THERE'S STILL A TON OF SNOW OUT THERE! This is what I see when I look out my window. Not flip-flop weather in my book. Sure, we've had a few days of warmer temperatures, but in addition to a ton of snow, there's even more MUD!



Now, I've spotted some flip-flops already this week. Maybe in warmer climates, that's fine, but in BIG SNOW COUNTRY, I think it's best to wait a bit. . .
