It's a Chore
I completely believe in chores for kids. It helps them develop responsibility and character. My son does not believe in chores. He believes in dragging out a two minute job to at least an hour. Here is the breakdown: 20 minutes of whining that he doesn't want to do it. 20 minutes of whining that he doesn't know how to do it. 15 minutes of trying to convince me to show him how to do it. 3 minutes of crying because his life is so horrible. 2 minutes of doing it.
